Good Grades Saved My Life in Middle School:
Model and Actor, Geomel Benson talks about how basketball saved his life. How growing up he wasn’t the best kid for his mom to raise. He remembers almost failing 6th grade and not being able to play sports. He talks about making a promise to himself to make acceptable grades for 7th grade. Following through he made the basketball team and his life was forever changed.
Geomel shares the advice his mom gave him about never trying. Her advice was, you don’t know the results if you never tried. Never trying makes you defeat yourself and creates regrets, as you get older.
